Fourth of July!

FABRIC

In honor of tradition, marriage, and Americana, today I present my latest quilt:

Congratulations on year one, Paige and Mark, two of the most beautiful people I know :) While this little gem lacks a bit in length and width, it boasts straight lines and pretty fabric galore!

My first machine quilted quilt. Not too shabby.

A detail of the varied and wonderful 1920's and 1930's style fabrics.

PAINT

I have also just completed two more root paintings. They are quite addictive these little works (these two are 4.5 inches square).

Every Piece Has Its Place (2011)

Three Is A Crowd (2011)

Hope you all enjoy the food, festivities, and fireworks!

Absolutely beautiful. I keep staring at and admiring it! I love the fabrics that you chose-- so old fashioned and modern looking at the same time. Love it! Thank you!
