I found this little babe in a shop several years ago. The illustrations are just incredible. I swore to never sell it, at least not before I had read it.

But recently at the Chateau Berretta we had a fire alarm scare in the building. I realized after that stressful event (which thankfully turned out to be nothing) that stuff is only stuff and bills are a pain in the ass.
With this in mind I have opted not to read it or look at it again other than as a time capsule on my blog. If I fall in love with the story too that will be the end of me.
I’ve listed it on eBay and already have a bid so I know for a fact it is going to a nice new home. Plus 10% of the sale will go to the ASPCA which will make it slightly easier to put in the mail.
Plus maybe one day when I’m a big star, “You know, like the Big Dipper”, I can buy any children’s book that I want! For now, I will post ones I’m auctioning so we can admire them before and after.
